2nd Annual Mattress Fundraiser at BBHHS to Benefit Choir and Orchestra

The 2nd annual Mattress Fundraiser for the BBHHS Choir & Orchestra will be Saturday, June 17th, from 10am – 5pm. There will be an entire mattress showroom featuring 20+ styles of beds set up in the High School Cafeteria for one day only. Brands include Simmons Beautyrest, Symbol, and Southerland, priced up to 50% less than traditional retail. There will also be a full line of premium pillows available and every purchase benefits the choir & orchestra. Check with students for $50 referral coupons!

Money raised from this year’s event will fund the return of the wildly popular “Electrify Your Strings” program for the orchestra. It was three years ago that Mark Wood, a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Trans-Siberian Orchestra, lit up the BBHHS auditorium and electrified students with all day workshops.

Choir Director, Emily Garlock will earmark monies from the Mattress Fundraiser to replace the 10+ year old dilapidated choir risers. They are a critical part to every performance, and the replacements will be well used over the coming years.

One in 10 people are in the market for a new mattress at any given time, so even if you aren’t shopping for a bed, odds are someone you know is! Last year the groups raised $6,575 with this “out of the box” idea. Watch for kids in mattress costumes Saturday, June 17th, outside BBHHS, and stop in for a great deal on a great bed.
