Brecksville Hosting Drug Take-Back Day Oct. 22
Officers will collect medication in Brecksville Public Square from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BRECKSVILLE, OH - Brecksville Police will again participate in Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Residents can drop off their medication in Brecksville Square from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents should remove the labels on their medication prior to drop-off. Officers will be on-hand to collect expired or unused prescription medication (pills only). The drugs will be turned over to the DEA for safe, proper disposal.
Disposing of your medication properly is particularly important in Ohio, where addiction problems have erupted into a full-blown crisis. A new report from the Democratic staff of the Senate Finance Committee has called Ohio the face of the nation's opioid addiction epidemic, saying that nearly 86 percent of people suffering from dependence or misuse issues do not have access to the care they need.
