First Phase of Woodlands of Snowville Nearing Final Approval

Construction on the Woodlands of Snowville housing development could begin soon, pending council's final approval of the project's first phase, The Sun News reports.

The 55-home project is located on Snowville Road, about a mile east of Brecksville Road.

Mayor Jerry Hruby said recently that the city has nearly reached its development potential.

Harwood agreed.

“The reality is that (the developers) own the property, it is zoned residential,” he said. “It’s the responsibility of the city to do the best for the property and to make sure it’s developed properly.”

This isn’t the first time the project was proposed to the city.

Both the city council and the planning commission OK’d the plans for a new subdivision back in 2008, before withdrawing the plans in 2012.
