Five Things You Need to Know About the 66th Annual Kiwanis Horse Show

It’s the 66th year of the Brecksville Horse Show, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Brecksville.
Organizers must be doing something right.
We thought we’d feature some of the highlights of the upcoming event, slated to take place all day at the River Ford area of the Brecksville Reservation on Aug. 4.

- This year there are 47 main ring classes and 23 Hunter-Jumper Classes. But there will also be colorful costumes, miniature horses, Appaloosas and more.
- The proceeds from the event will benefit area children in need. “We have put together another exciting day for exhibitors and spectators alike. We would like to welcome back our supporting Vendor, the Clip-ity Clop Saddlery and Western Wear, featuring a wide display of tack and related items,” according to the Kiwanis Club.
- New this year at the Brecksville Kiwanis Horse Show is the President's Choice award and two memorial trophies complete with horse sashes.
- The food tent will feature all sorts of goodies — think sandwiches, drinks and pies.
- Admission to the event is $6 for and $3 for children, but that’s the suggested donation. A box with seating for six is $60.
