Five Things You Should Know About the Week Ahead in Brecksville

  1. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District is slated to vote on whether to place a 6.3-mill combined levy on the Nov. 5 ballot. According to the resolution, the levy is necessary “for the purpose of current operating expenses, and the acquisition, construction, enlargement, renovation, and financing of general, ongoing permanent improvements for the school district.”
  2. TOPS OH 2214 Brecksville will host a book sale fundraiser in the activities room at Chippewa Place, 7005 Stadium Drive, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. July 23.
  3. Horse Lover's Day Camp: Enjoy a fun filled week of learning about horses. Participants will have a two-hour session Monday through Friday that involves working around horses, cleaning tack, and a daily riding lesson. Visit the website for more information.
    Cuyahoga Valley Republicans are hosting their monthly meeting, and inviting guests to attend the event at the Brecksville Community Center at 7 p.m. Juy 23. Guests are always welcome to attend and becoming a member is easy to do by signing up at one of the monthly meetings. The yearly membership is $10.
  4. State Route 82 is closing soon — from July 29 to Aug. 14 — so get your detour set.
