The acclaimed Irish ensemble, Danú, celebrates Christmas with ‘Féile na Nollag’ (A Christmas Gathering). Christmas in Ireland is one of the most important holidays for families and friends, as many Irish people living abroad come home to gather in celebration. Local community choirs singing traditional songs for Christmas and Wrens Day (Dec. 26) are a common sight throughout Ireland each December. Music and dance gatherings, in communities both urban and rural, have often combined for generations to offer a great variety of songs, music, and stories for the holidays. Danú’s Christmas Gathering offers a taste of these extraordinary events, which have been held across Ireland for hundreds of years.

For over a decade, Danú’s virtuosi players on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki, and the gorgeous voice of Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh (Irish and English), have performed around the globe and recorded seven critically acclaimed albums. Winners of numerous awards from the BBC and Irish Music Magazine, Danú has toured throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North America with stops at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Symphony Space in New York City, and major concert engagements in the United Kingdom, India, Israel, and across Europe. Danú takes its audiences on a musical journey to its native Ireland, offering a moving and memorable concert experience.

Happy Days Lodge is located at 500 West Streetsboro Road (SR 303), 1 mile west of SR 8, Peninsula 44264.
