Brecksville, Ohio – On Friday, December 4, 2015, enjoy a holiday concert featuring local duo Tina Bergmann and Bryan Thomas. The pair will take the Happy Days Lodge stage in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) as part of the Heritage Concert Series. This series, presented by the National Park Service and the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, celebrates the cultural legacy of the Cuyahoga Valley and is made possible thanks to the generous support of Cable 9 Television and Cascade Auto Group.

Join us when doors open to purchase light meal options featuring soups, snacks, and sweets. Prepared by Conservancy Canteen, hot soups highlight seasonal ingredients and are paired with local, handcrafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Single concert admission: $17 adults, $12 Conservancy members, $5 children ages 3 - 12. Happy Days Lodge. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and concert begins at 8 p.m. General seating.

On concert days, call the Cultural Arts Hotline at 440-546-5998 after 2 p.m. for up-to-date ticket availability and severe weather cancellations. All concerts are held at Happy Days Lodge.

Tina and Bryan create an engaging holiday concert of traditional seasonal music, American fiddle tunes and waltzes, string band rags and Celtic jigs and reels, with a sprinkling of South American gems and the occasional Classical piece thrown in for good measure. With their playful and relaxed stage presence they create an entertaining and memorable program ideal for any music lover.

Tina is a primarily self-taught musician of 27 years and a highly regarded teacher known for her warm and engaging teaching style. Teaching her first workshop at age 12, Tina went on to establish a thriving private studio while instructing and performing at festivals and camps throughout the country. Promoted as the “Diva of the Dulcimer” by Apollo’s Fire, Cleveland’s nationally known Baroque Orchestra, Tina is known for her driving energy and syncopated rhythms and was described by Pete Seeger as “Tthe best hammered dulcimer player I’ve heard in my life.”

Bryan Thomas is a versatile bassist with an active teaching schedule, and performs as a free-lance musician throughout northeast Ohio. He is the double bass instructor at Kent State University’s Hugh A. Glauser School of Music and also teaches in the jazz program of the Metro Campus of Cuyahoga Community College. He plays many different styles of music, and, most notably, has studied Cuban music and dance in the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Havana, Cuba.
