The city says that the gas rate on residents’ August Dominion bill should have been no higher than $4.30 and your September bill should be no higher than $4.05.
“If it is you need to attend the meeting,’ according to the release.
The city is also recommending that residents should avoid going with a fixed rate this winter. Instead, NOPEC’s variable rate is encouraged.
The NOPEC number is 888-848-7914.
“If you receive a letter from your current gas supplier about future service read it carefully,” according to the release. “There is a very real possibility the offer is too high.”
