Palm Sunday Service, March 29
Participate in our traditional Palm Sunday processional with palms in hand! Everyone is welcome!
We will join together in our traditional Palm Sunday processional, joined in worship at both services by our Chancel Choir and Worship Band, and with palms in hand! Come and be a part of the crowd celebrating Jesus’ triumphal entry, and begin the final days of observance leading us to Easter.
Our first service is at 8:45 am and the second is at 11:15 am. Brecksville United Methodist Church is located on the northwest corner of Brecksville Square. Our main parking lot is accessed from Route 21 (across the street from the Hallmark and Starbucks plaza.)
Both services this week will be led by the Worship Band with vocal leadership from Chancel Choir. Music for the morning includes our traditional processional songs: Prepare Ye (from Godspell), Hosanna, and Glory. Both services will also include traditional Palm Sunday hymn, Hosanna, Loud Hosanna (UMH 278). At 8:45, we’ll round out the service with Hosanna by Brooke Fraser. At 11:15, we’ll close the service with traditional hymn, At the Name of Jesus (UMH 168). Organ titles at both services are Palm Sunday Processional by Lisa Shoemaker-Lohmeyer and Hosanna, Loud Hosanna by Joel Raney. The choir will also share a Joel Raney piece during the offering time, titled At His Name.

When you enter Brecksville United Methodist Church, you find a warm and welcoming congregation worshiping God together in an open and beautiful Sanctuary. We offer two worship services every Sunday morning.
On a typical Sunday, about 275 people attend worship at BUMC. Some of us have attended here for many years and some are brand new. We come from all walks of life, different political perspectives and many denominational and religious backgrounds. Despite our diversity, we are committed to the belief that we all belong together in community!

Don’t worry about what you’re wearing on a Sunday morning. Many of us dress up a bit, but you’ll see jeans and casual attire too. You don’t need a suit to worship with us!
We’re excited to get to know you, and we don’t want to scare you away. We won’t make you stand up in a room full of strangers and introduce yourself. We won’t single you out during worship. We will offer you a Welcome Bag, which includes information about the church, a mug and other goodies. If you’d like one, ask an usher or greeter. And if you’d like more information, a call, a visit, or to subscribe to our newsletter, fill out a Visitor Card (available in the pews) and we’ll follow up on your request.
We are excited to welcome you into the community of Brecksville United Methodist Church. This Sunday morning, consider worshiping with us! “Whoever you are; in whatever faith you were born, whatever creed you profess, if you come to this house to find God, you are welcome.” - John Wesley
