Some of the things going on in town this week:
1. Really big garage sale — The United Methodist Women's famous garage sale is back. Shop for treasures in the church fellowship hall on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
2. Bees Hockey Clambake — It's set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at  Al Koran Shriners Pavilion, 1000 E. Edgerton Rd., Broadview Heights.
3. Southern Hills CROP Hunger Walk — Brecksville churches are involved in the annual fundraiser, set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29.
4. Cuyahoga Valley Republicans — Next meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 24 in Brecksville.
5. Fall Fest — Annual celebration is Sunday, Sept. 29 in the Brecksville Reservation of Cleveland Metroparks.
