East Canton, are you ready to re|imagine your library? Great news! Your branch is next!

Re|imagine is our commitment to invest in our community by making each branch an inviting space that inspires and empowers our community to pursue creativity and lifelong learning. We officially kicked off our Re|imagine projected earlier in the year with North Branch, which will be opening this summer.

About East Canton

The East Canton Branch first opened in 1967 in the former Kress I.G.A. store. It moved into its current location in the Foltz Community Center in the mid-90s, and this will be its first renovation! It will be upgraded with new technology, including laptop lending and self-check stations, comfortable furniture, and so much more.

What to expect while the branch is closed

Our last day of service at East Canton is Saturday, June 12th, and the branch will be closed for about five months. We will share updates and re-opening news regularly via email during the closure.

While we’re closed, we’ll do our best to provide alternate ways to access library materials and services. The bookmobile will be on-site at the parking lot adjacent to the branch at scheduled times for patrons to pick up holds and access other library services. The bookmobile will not be open for browsing.

Bookmobile Schedule* Beginning Monday, June 14

Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays | 9 am – 1 pm

Tuesdays | 10:30 – 1:30

Thursdays | 2 – 6 pm

Fridays | Closed

* Subject to change in emergency or public health situations

Library-to-Go Services

Library to Go is easy to use. Just reserve online, use our mobile app, or call 330.452.0665. Choose your branch as the pickup location. A notification will be sent when holds are ready. They will be available for pick up at the bookmobile during listed hours.

Print to the Bookmobile

You can print a document from your phone or computer right to the printer on the bookmobile! Upload your document using our web browser at StarkLibrary.org/print, or email your document to scdl-eastcanton-bw@printspots.com(black and white) or scdl-eastcanton-color@printspots.com(color). A staff member will let you know when your document will be ready for pickup.

These services will be available from the bookmobile using safe protocols.

Digital Services

The 24/7 Digital Library is always available! It’s an easy way to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines, stream movies, music, and TV shows 24/7 from the comfort of home

Of course, our other branches are open for those who prefer to visit us in person.
