Chamberlain Provides New Healthcare Path for Cincinnati Students and Professionals

Chamberlain College of Nursing Introduces Chamberlain University

On Monday, Chamberlain College of Nursing, which includes the Cincinnati campus, is broadening its reach in healthcare education with the establishment of Chamberlain University and the launch of a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program within a new College of Health Professions. Chamberlain University is a natural extension of Chamberlain College of Nursing and fulfills a vision of extending its mission to educate, empower and embolden diverse healthcare professionals who advance the health of people, families, communities and nations

In the past century, public health initiatives have improved lives worldwide, and increased life expectancy by almost 30 years in the United States. Public health professionals transform local healthcare by protecting and caring for communities through the promotion of healthy lifestyles, research and prevention of infectious diseases. As the global population continues to grow, so does the need for additional public health professionals and the services and care they provide.

The new MPH program will open up new educational opportunities for local students and professionals in the area, both licensed and non-licensed, who hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and an interest in improving the health and wellness of entire communities.
