Dr. Roger H. Sublett has dedicated his career to helping students, colleagues, coworkers, and institutions develop the confidence and skills necessary to become experts in their fields. At the Roger H. Sublett Legacy Luncheon on April 25, he was the one lauded for his 17 years of leadership at Union Institute & University (15 as president) and 53 years of service to higher education. With over 150 guests in attendance at the luncheon celebration, Dr. Sublett’s legacy and impact on the university shined bright.
The tributes given yesterday distinguished him as a pioneer and innovator for adults who want an education that makes a difference, education for adults whose ambitious personal goals direct them to pursue bold dreams; for adults who seek transformational education; and for adults with a passion for learning and the potential to make a difference.
His legacy will remain forever with the establishment of the Roger H. Sublett Fellowship for Emerging Leaders that will provide support to new or current students enrolled in the Union Institute & University’s graduate programs, with a preference for students in the Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies program.

Dr. Sublett retires on June 30 and Dr. Karen Dr. Karen Schuster Webb becomes the university’s sixth president, effective July 1, 2018.
