Helping bridge cultures and countries with youth exchange
❤️ ATTENTION FAMILIES IN THE GREATER CINCINNATI AREAS! We are seeking host families for some amazing high school exchange students for next school year! These students all share the same DREAM of attending an American high school and living with a local family in our region.
ICES host families come in many shapes and sizes and have so much to offer these students. As a host family you provide room and board for a student of your choice while the student has their own money to pay for their personal needs and school lunches. We just ask you love and support the student like your own child and show them what it's like to be an American.
LUCIEN is a 16 y/o boy from France who enjoys playing music and scouting. He writes; “I really love to do activities after school. My favorite one is music. I practice drums about six hours a week. I play in a marching band and in a symphonic orchestra. I have been practicing for eight years. I am also a member of a young citizen council, we represent the youngs of the town in front of the elected officials of the town. I have been also a boy scout for seven years. We are camping in forests and we are frequently hiking.”
FATIMA is an active, sporty and open-minded 16 y/o girl from Spain. She loves getting to experience new cultures and travel. Spending time with family is something that Fatima loves to do. Big family gatherings is something she has grown up with. She writes; “On the weekend I wake up at 8 to play my weekly basketball match at 9 am. Basketball ends around 11. I am a very sociable person. Most of my friends are from my school, but I also have friends in other high schools. I meet my friends every Friday and Saturday. When we meet we often go to the center of the city to a café or to the cinema. If I don't feel like going out, I just stay at home painting or watching TV. I also like to read, specially thriller books. I am a big fan of American TV shows.”
