Marine Veteran Takes The Helm Of Veterans In Union Program

New Veterans Coordinator Named

Marine Corps veteran William Willet has been named the new Veterans Services Coordinator of the Union Institute & University Veterans in Union program. The program answers the call to assist veterans nationwide in their transition to civilian life.

Willet’s goal is to counsel veterans on higher education and career goals.

“My goals are to connect with as many veterans as possible in order to tell them about the programs available to them at Union Institute & University, help inform them about the best ways UI&U can help them maximize their service-related educational benefits, and to help them get as many Union-related grants, scholarships, and stipends as possible,” said Willett. “I also have a goal of helping to guide veterans to the career placement services part of the Union website in order that they find employment. In doing so I have been coordinating with career services to best find ways to get the information about job opportunities to veterans, along with disseminating other benefits veterans get throughout the year.”
