Columbus Crew Win Major League Soccer Cup
The Crew won 3-0 over the Seattle Sounders to capture the championship.

COLUMBUS, OH — The Columbus Crew Soccer Club captured the 2020 Major League Soccer Cup championship Saturday night with a 3-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders. The championship is the Crew's first since 2008.
A goal from Lucas Zelarayan in the game's 82nd minute iced the 3-0 victory, according to an MLSSoccer.com recap. Zelarayan scored twice in the win. Derrick Etienne Jr. also had a goal for Columbus.
The Crew won without both winger Pedro Santos and midfielder Darlington Nagbe. Both missed the game after testing positive for the coronavirus.

The championship win was likely the final game ever played at MAPFRE Stadium, as the Crew are moving to a new, soccer-specific stadium in 2021.
The Sounders were the defending championships, having won the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy in 2019.
