Columbus Triple Shooting: 2 Slain When Argument Turns Violent

BREAKING: ​It all started when an argument broke out on the front porch of a home in Columbus.​

COLUMBUS, OH — Three people were shot when an argument on the front porch of a home in Columbus turned violent, and two people have since died, multiple media outlets reported. Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Dawnlight Avenue late Friday for a report that shots were fired.

Three men were critically hurt in the shooting. Anthony Sparkes, 28, and Calvin Carmichael, 26, were taken to a hospital where Carmichael died, media outlets reported.

James Willis III, 30, tried to drive himself to the hospital but stopped near Joyce Avenue and Hudson Street, media outlets said. He died as well. Sparkes remains in critical condition.
