Columbus Peace Rally to be held on Aug.24 in response to increase in local homicide rate as well as mass shootings

Deija , 21 A.K.A “The Voice Of Columbus " a young Columbus, Ohio based community leader is calling on all residents and elected officials to take part in the Columbus Peace Rally. This walk stems after a recent spike in local homicides locally as well as the tragedies that took place in El Paso, Texas and our neighboring city Dayton, Ohio. The overall goal is to promote peace and unity.

As Americans our ears heard Dayton chant “Do Something !" Here In Columbus we are Doing Something! Says Deija. The walk is set to take place on Saturday August 24 at 4:00 PM. The start point will be 3686 East Main Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213. In front of the Walmart parking lot street. This walk will entail defining What is a red flag? What to do in case of a mass shooting or active shooter situation? Demand that congress enforce stricter gun laws.

500 people are expected to attend at this peace rally. There will be an opening and closing prayer both at the start point and end point of the walk.
