Donley Homes, Pickerington’s premier new home builder, celebrates 50 years of service to the Columbus area in 2021. Over the years, the Donley family has built more than 1,500 homes in the Columbus area, mostly within Pickerington.

“Long before my father moved to Pickerington, my grandfather launched our family’s involvement in the housing industry with a real estate firm in Columbus,” said Donley Homes President Mike Donley. “My father chose this community because of its wealth of resources, high quality schools and, mostly, the people. We’re proud to have contributed to its growth for the last five decades, and I’m honored to continue my family’s legacy of helping my neighbors create the home of their dreams.”

Donley Homes was founded in 1971 when Mike Donley’s father, John, and his three brothers brought their families from Columbus to begin building homes in Pickerington. Since then, the family-owned company has constructed more than 1,500 homes, mostly in the Pickerington subdivisions of Summerfield, Eastwood Village, Chevington Woods, Ashley Creek, Meadowmoore, and Cross Creeks, along with Slate Ridge in Reynoldsburg.

Donley Homes stands out in the Columbus area as a builder that also develops its own communities, handling all land acquisition and infrastructure development. Managed by Founder John Donley, the development arm of Donley Homes allows the firm to shape a community’s personality and environment. Because Donley Homes does not sell lots to other builders, all homes built in their communities complement each other and respect the original design of the neighborhood.

Donley Homes is known for the high-quality materials included upfront in all of their homes. Donley knows what buyers want and expect, so those finishes are built in from the start, taking away the sticker stock homebuyers often feel when they upgrade basic selections with other builders.

The company also is known for its hands-on approach. Because Donley Homes communities are limited to the Pickerington area, Donley and his team are on site at each home every day. They personally know the subcontractors who are performing the work, and they evaluate the quality of materials and workmanship throughout the building process. Donley Homes’ reputation for creating a respectful work environment and for paying their subcontractors on time means they get the best providers and timely, quality craftsmanship.

Donley Homes is currently building in two Pickerington communities. Meadowmoore Reserve contains 192 single-family homes priced from the $440,000s. Residents enjoy a neighborhood park, playground, sidewalks, ponds, community gardens and a walking path. The Enclave at Meadowmoore offers free-standing condominium homes priced from the low $300,000s. Amenities include a clubhouse with fitness center and kitchen, a dog park, a pavilion with picnic tables, and a walking path.
