'Good Neighbors' Preparing Students for New School Year

The Cuyahoga Falls non-profit wants to help local students collect all the back-to-school supplies and tools they need for the 2013-14 school year.

Good Neighbors, a Cuyahoga Falls non-profit, wants to give local students the tools and supplies they need to keep pace with the district's 2013-14 curricula.

Local activist and Cuyahoga Falls High alum Heather Lyell Shaw is helping to lead the effort, and is asking for any and all school supplies residents are willing to give.

A few of the basics could include: notebooks, pens, pencils, book bags, calculators and so on.

The supplies can be dropped at the First Christian Church on either Aug. 13 or Aug. 15 from 8 a.m. To 2 p.m., said Shaw.

Volunteers are also needed.

Questions can be directed to Good Neighbors at 330-928-8057.

Additional pickup times:

  • Tuesday Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
