Threat Made Toward Walsh Jesuit High School
Threatening graffiti was painted in a bathroom. Parents were alerted to the threat Friday morning.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH — Threatening graffiti was painted in a girl's bathroom at Walsh Jesuit High School, according to an email obtained by Patch. The message, sent from the office of the school's president to parents, says the message was deemed a "not current threat" to the student body. The graffiti has been removed from the bathroom.
The graffiti was apparently discovered by the administration Thursday, but was present in the restroom for at least six days. A spokesperson for the the high school said time stamps on photographs revealed how long the graffiti had been present. School officials, however, are not revealing the nature of the threat.
The administration did not communicate the presence of the threat to parents until Friday. The school spokesperson said the decision to wait was made because the threat was deemed not a current threat to students. Administrators were made aware of the graffiti Thursday afternoon.

However, a social media frenzy of posts about the threats started Thursday night. Parents then began calling into the school on Friday morning, apparently concerned, the spokesperson confirmed. An email from Principal Rev. Mark Carr was then sent at 8:42 a.m. on Friday.
Cuyahoga Falls Police were reportedly called to the scene to investigate on Thursday. As of Friday morning, an officer from the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department remains at the school, Cuyahoga Falls Chief of Police Jack Davis confirmed. He was unable to say how long an officer would be stationed at the school.

Carr, meantime, thanked the students that alerted the administration to the graffiti before urging more communication between staff. "As always, let us be attentive to the people and situations around us. If any student expresses intent to cause harm to him/herself or to another person, please report this," he said in his email.
