WITAN Nearing Anniversary Goal

WITAN Members Giving Back to the Community

WITAN, Women In Touch with Akron’s Needs, is a non-profit, 501c-3 charitable organization dedicated to encouraging volunteer service, raising funds to support charitable community projects and educating members on civic responsibility. Since its inception in 1943, WITAN has provided nearly $3 million in charitable community grants and its members have contributed over 1 million hours of charitable volunteer service.

2018 is the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of WITAN. In addition to the thousands of hours donated in service to the community each year by the members, WITAN had pledged an additional 750 hours beginning with the fiscal year in July, 2017. WITAN is close to meeting this goal having given many hours to St. Bernard's, Haven of Rest, Akron-Canton Food Bank, Blessings in a Backpack and more.

Follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/WITAN. As a 100% charitable volunteer-operated organization, WITAN more than 300 members. For more information, visit witaninfo.org.
