3 Ways to Steal from Stores (and Get Caught): Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Fairlawn Police Department

1. An employee of Macy's was nabbed Aug. 22 trying to steal clothing from the store at Summit Mall, according  to a report.
Police said a store security officer saw her taking price tags off baby clothes and throwing them in the trash, then placing the clothing in a bag under the cash register. At closing, she took the bag and left the store.Â
She also admitted to stealing a pair of jeans the day before. She agreed to return the jeans.
The former employee was charged with theft and banned from the store indefinitely.
2. A woman was spotted taking 12 items valued at $118 from Victoria's Secret and putting them in her purse Aug. 22.
When she was stopped and searched, police also found three pipes, two push rods and a metal spoon in the purse.
She was charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
3. At Walmart, a woman put an electric lawnmower valued at $299 in her cart and pushed it out the door without paying Aug. 20. She was stopped in the parking lot and arrested.
