5 Things to Know in Fairlawn and Bath this Week

Here's what's coming up in the next few days

1. Bath Township Trustees — The next regularly scheduled meeting is Monday, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. at the township administration building.

2. School starts in Revere — Wednesday, Aug. 21 is the first day of school for Revere students. Drive carefully.

3. School starts in Copley-Fairlawn — Thursday, Aug. 22 is the first day for classes in Copley-Fairlawn schools.

4. Stream Stomp — Part of the regular University of Akron Walks & Talks in Our Parks program at 1 p.m. with Dr. Rich Londraville. It's at the Bath Nature Preserve Trailhead, 4160 Ira Rd.

5. Library down — On Monday, Aug. 19, the Akron-Summit County Public Library will be upgrading its computer system. The following services will be unavailable until mid afternoon:

  • Library catalog
  • My Account functions
  • Renewals and holds
  • OneClickDigital and Zinio checkouts
  • SearchOhio and OhioLINK
  • Some online databases
  • Internet and computer logins in the library
