Learn How to Preserve Food at 2 Workshops
Hale Farm and Crown Point will explain canning, other methods

Crown Point Ecology Center and Hale Farm & Village have teamed up to host two Food Preservation Workshops on Saturday, Aug. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hale Farm & Village, 2686 Oak Hill.
The workshop will focus on hot water bath canning as well as some other common food preservation methods. Attendees will leave the workshop with the knowledge and experience to try canning at home and a sample jar of preserved food.Â
Held in the Hale Farm kitchen, each workshop will be limited to 12 attendees. Cost is $20 for members of either Crown Point Ecology Center or the Western Reserve Historical Society. Non-member cost is $30.
