Foundation of Bath, Ohio. These funds will be used to complete critically needed facilities
improvement and expansion projects to better serve the special needs rescues in permanent
retirement at the sanctuary and advance future program development. “We are thrilled to have
the friendship and support of the Chady and David Hall Foundation,” said Michele Bolinger,
Founder and Executive Director. “Their interest in supporting local organizations
such as FAAAS will enable us to become stronger partners in our community.”
The mission of Forever Amber Acres Animal Sanctuary (“FAAAS”) is to provide safe refuge,
purposeful rehabilitation and retirement aftercare for special needs horses and other
animals on its premises or through its partner network. While the organization’s primary
focus is horses, it does not discriminate against any animal or breed.
Founded in 2008 by Michele Bolinger, Forever Amber Acres Animal Sanctuary operated as
a private, self-funded charity prior to gaining 501(c)(3) status in 2013. FAAAS is an all-
volunteer organization with 100% of revenue from all sources going directly to the
permanent care of its special needs animals and maintenance of the facility they call
“home.” The organization presently utilizes its rescues to serve veterans, children,
families and seniors dealing with physical and emotional challenges through its
“Barn Buddies” program and hopes to pilot a certified Animal Assisted Therapy program
in 2017.
