Shoplifter Changes His Mind, But It's Too Late: Police Blotter

An unusual shoplifting incident was reported at Marc's Sept. 22.

Police said a man was observed taking items out of their packaging and concealing them in his pockets. 

He left the store, followed by a security guard. But once the man was out, he suddenly turned around, went back inside and went into the restroom.

When he came out, an employee went in and found the 10 items he had been seen taking stuffed in the garbage can.

He was arrested and charged with theft. The items were valued at $26.87.
