​Summit Mall Hosts Guardians Advocating Child Safety, Protection Event

Guardians Advocating Child Safety and Protection (GASP) will hold a family-friendly event on National Missing Children's Day, May 20.

From Bandy Carroll Hellige: Guardians Advocating Child Safety and Protection (GASP) will hold a family-friendly event on National Missing Children’s Day; May 20 from 1 to 4 p.m., at Summit Mall to educate families on taking preventative steps regarding child safety.

The event will have family-oriented exhibitors, educational materials, children identification kits and a chance to get children fingerprinted. GASP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safer environment for children through modern and effective programs designed to prevent encounters involving dangerous situations, sex offenders, abuse and abduction.

“For almost a decade we have been host to an event to help families understand how to keep their children safe,” said Heather Taylor, director of marketing and business development at Summit Mall. “Summit Mall strives to be a community partner and as such, we want to help children feel safe in the community and beyond.”
