Budweiser Clydesdales Coming to Kent

Budweiser Clydesdales

KENT, OH — The world famous Budweiser Clydesdales will be passing through downtown Kent once again. The draft horses have not visited the area for years and there is so much enthusiasm for event that a Clydesdales Come to Kent Facebook event page has been created which has 8.1 thousand interested people and 1.8 thousand saying they will attend.

Here's what the Clydesdales Come to Kent Facebook says:

Join us in welcoming the Budweiser Clydesdales to Kent on Thursday, August 11th! The Clydesdales will arrive at 5:30pm to get ready for a parade through the downtown district. The parade will begin at 6:30pm in front of the Hometown Bank Plaza, and will follow this route: W. Main St., Franklin Ave., College Ave., S. Water St., E. Main St., S. Depeyster St., E. Erie St., circling back to S. Water St. The parade will end where it began on N. Water St. at approximately 8:30pm. Stops will be made along the parade route for photo opportunities and celebratory beer deliveries to many Anheuser-Busch customers, our downtown businesses. Residents and visitors are invited to come downtown to enjoy the parade and patronize the establishments who support Anheuser-Busch, the company that has carried on a legacy of brewing America’s most popular beers for over 160 years.

Heather Malarcik, executive director of Main Street Kent, told The Beer Blog at Ohio.com, “We’re totally excited, we feel pretty special."
