Kent City Council paused from its official duties this evening for cake as they celebrated Mayor Jerry Fiala's 70th birthday.
Councilman Wayne Wilson read a proclamation declaring Thursday Jerry T. Fiala day, and afterward council and some members of the audience enjoyed cake in what is fast becoming a tradition to mark the lifetime Kent resident's birthday.
