Important 2013-14 Kent City School Back-to-School Dates

It's sad but true — summer vacation will eventually end. To prepare for the new school year, here are a few important dates to keep in mind:

• Monday, Aug. 26: “Back to School Night” is scheduled at Stanton Middle School. The program begins at 5:30 p.m. for the sixth-grade Legacy team; 6 p.m. for the sixth-grade Incredibles, along with only those seventh and eighth graders who are new to the school district; and 6:30 p.m. for the sixth-grade Buckeyes.

• Tuesday, Aug. 27: “Supply/Meet the Teacher Night” is planned at the elementary buildings from 5:30 to 7 p.m. These evenings are designed to help students find their classrooms and meet their teachers, according to information posted on the district's website. 

• Wednesday, Aug. 28: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for all students in grades 1-9. Kindergarten orientation begins on the same day. 

• Thursday Aug. 29: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for Roosevelt students in grades 10-12.

Finally, for all students in grades one through nine, the first day back to school is Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Kindergarten orientation begins on the same day. Roosevelt students in grades ten through twelve will return on Thursday, August 29, 2012.
