2 People Accused Of Murder In Lakewood
A 44-year-old man was found dead inside a Lakewood apartment on Sunday. Now two people face charges for aggravated murder, police said.
LAKEWOOD, OH — A 22-year-old woman has been taken into custody in connection to a recent killing in Lakewood, police announced.
Wilmarie Ford, 22, from Cleveland, was taken into custody Tuesday. She faces charges of aggravated murder. her arraignment in Lakewood Municipal Court has not yet been scheduled, police said.
Police also issued a warrant for Bruce E. Ford, 23, from Cleveland. He also faces a charge of aggravated murder. He is not currently in police custody, a Lakewood police spokesperson said.

The role of both Fords in the killing is under investigation, police said. It appears both suspects knew the victim.
On Sunday morning, a 44-year-old man was shot to death in Lakewood. On Monday morning, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the slain man as Shontell Rose.

Rose, from Lakewood, was found dead inside an Elmwood apartment. The medical examiner's team reported that his death is being classified as a suspected homicide.
Gunshots were heard near the Elmwood apartment on Sunday morning. When police arrived to investigate, they found several spent shell casings outside of Rose's apartment door. When Rose didn't answer, police forced their way inside.
They found Rose inside the apartment, with a gunshot wound to his head. He was declared dead at the apartment.
No one else appears to have been hurt in the shooting, Police Chief Kevin Kaucheck told Patch.
Investigation into Rose's death is ongoing.
