Black Lives Matter Flag Stolen From Home In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, OH — A Black Lives Matter flag was stolen from the front porch of a Larchmont Avenue home.

This is the second theft of Black Lives Matter flags and signs in the past weeks, Cleveland 19 reported. Multiple BLM signs were taken from the yard of a Madison Avenue home last week, police said.

It's unclear if the two thefts are connected. Lakewood Police Chief Kevin Kaucheck said investigators are looking into the thefts, but he's hoping someone will recognize the suspect from the surveillance photos.

Police believe the identity of the suspect will soon be determined because of the clarity of the surveillance photos.
