Christmas In Lakewood: What's Open, Closed, Trash Schedule
With both Christmas and New Year's Day landing on Tuesdays, trash collection will be delayed for a slice of residents.

LAKEWOOD, OH — With Christmas and New Year's Day both landing on Tuesdays, Lakewood residents can expect a slight delay in their trash collection. Municipal buildings and facilities will be closed for the holidays.
All city departments will be closed on Christmas Day. Lakewood Municipal Court will also shut down in observance of the holiday.
New Year's Day will again close all city divisions and the Lakewood Municipal Court. There will be no trash or recycling collected Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 or Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.

- Monday — 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 24
- Tuesday — 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26
- Wednesday— 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26
- Thursday — 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27
- Friday — 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28
Here's the collection schedule for the week of New Year's Day.
- Monday — 6:30 AM on Monday, December 31
- Tuesday —6:30 AM on Wednesday, January 2
- Wednesday —6:30 AM on Wednesday, January 2
- Thursday —6:30 AM on Thursday, January 3
- Friday — 6:30 AM on Friday, January 4
