Christmas Will Delay Trash Collection In Lakewood

Residents whose collection day is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will still have their trash and recycling collected on those days.

LAKEWOOD, OH — With Christmas landing on a Monday in 2017, some Lakewood residents will have their normal trash collection schedules thrown out of whack by the holiday.

The city says on its website that anyone whose trash or recycling is collected on Monday will instead have their items collected on Tuesday. Residents whose collection day is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will still have their trash and recycling collected on those days.

During holiday weeks, all collections must be out by 6:30 a.m. Residents could be charged for the collection of late set out items.
