Cinco De Meow: The May 5 Event In Lakewood You Won't Want To Miss
An all you can eat taco bar, raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle, an event T-Shirt, and more. Plus, you're helping cats. Cats rock.

LAKEWOOD, OH — On May 5, the third annual Cinco de Meow party will come to Around the Corner in Lakewood. With an all-you-can-eat taco bar and a variety of prizes to give away, the event has grown steadily over its existence.
Food will be provided by Vosh and Around the Corner. The event is vegan and vegetarian friendly.
The fundraiser benefits Tails From The City and Lucky Paws Animal Rescue, two organizations that shelter and do adoptions for kittens and cats. For Tails From The City, Cinco de Meow is one of its biggest fundraising avenues.

Leah Kubiak, the event founder, told Patch she's hoping to draw about 400 people for this year's Cinco de Meow. Last year the event drew about 300 people.
"There's stuff for dog and cat lovers there," Kubiak told Patch. "We have tons of giveaways at this event. Everybody can leave with something."

When Kubiak first started the event she thought she would be lucky to get her family and friends to attend. Now Cinco de Meow is a major draw on May 5. In no small part, that's because of the incredible giveaways and raffles.
This year, Kubiak is raffling off a 60 inch Class (59.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p- Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV and VIP tickets to meet Internet sensation Lil BUB (the celebrity cat famous for its tongue-out-look). Lil BUB will be coming to town in October.
Pre-sale tickets to the event are $30 and can be purchased by clicking here. Kubiak said pre-sale tickets help staff determine how much food to prepare for the event. That's why tickets at-the-door are $40.
