Clarence Avenue Gas Line Replacement Starts This Week

Lakewood officials said pedestrians and residents will want to be extra cautious in the area.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Crews will be preparing to replace the gas line on Clarence Avenue this week, the city announced. The work will take place between Athens Avenue and Bramley Avenue.

Residents and pedestrians will want to be extra cautious during this work period because the gas line is being installed through the sidewalks. After the gas line is completed, the city said, all sidewalks will be temporarily filled with concrete.

When winter is over, and spring comes, the temporary concrete will be replaced with permanent sidewalks. Traffic and parking changes will be minimal during the work.
