Crossing Guards Needed For Lakewood Students

LAKEWOOD, OH — Crossing guards are needed in Lakewood for the upcoming school year.

The Lakewood City Schools are preparing for an usual academic year due to changes brought on by COVID-19. However, students will still be walking to school most day and those students will need guidance and protection.

“School crossing guards play an important role in keeping our students safe,” said Lt. Roger Warner. “We are looking forward to working with committed individuals that will enjoy the opportunity to interact with Lakewood’s young people.”

Crossing guards are paid $15 an hour and work approximately 2 hours per day. Crossing guards must be able to work in inclement weather and stand for long stretches of time. Applicants should also have a valid driver's license, be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.

Applicants must also pass a drug screening.
