The construction project for the new Family Dollar store on Detroit Avenue has taken a but longer than the new Discount Drug Mart next door, but is still expected to open soon.
A portion of the sidewalk is now complete, but the other half still remains in piles of dirt.
Construction vehicles are still a staple at the site, even though the lights are on inside the store.
Underground utilities at the property -- most recently the home of Ganley Subaru -- have reportedly slowed the project.
