Five Things You Should Know About in Lakewood This Week

  1. One of the three people suspected of having a meth lab — which caught fire last month — will be arraigned in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. Chad Kolarik, the 26-year-old who lived at the home, was hospitalized from the explosion. The other two suspects’ bonds were set at $50,000 and $100,000. 
  2. The Lakewood School Board is hosting its regular board meeting at Grant Elementary School at 7 p.m. Aug. 5.
  3. Bookmobile National Tour Event: The Digital Bookmobile is a high-tech
    update of the traditional bookmobile that has served communities for decades. Look for the bookmobile’s stop in Lakewood from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Lakewood Public Library.
  4. Friday Night Flick at Madison Park: This week’s showing at Madison Park is the classic Madagascar 3 (rated PG) at Madison Park at 9 p.m. Friday.
  5. It’s A Mystery At Lakewood Public Library: The Lakewood Public Library is missing a valuable first edition that was gifted by a deceased wealthy patron. Who could have taken it? Was it the antiquities expert charged with delivering the bequest? Join the hunt for the book at the library at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
