Fort Hill In Rocky River Is Top 10 Fall Foliage Location
The Cleveland Metroparks offer plenty of places to check out fall color, but the Fort Hill Stairs are a must-see.

ROCKY RIVER, OH — When the fall season officially began this weekend, Northeast Ohio weather happily complied with a cool down. With no sign of high temperatures returning, it's safe to say that fall foliage may soon be a staple of local parks — and there's no better place to see the color changing phenomenon than Rocky River's Fort Hill Stairs.
The iconic Fort Hill stairs offer a panoramic view of the Rocky River from 90 feet up. With 155 newly installed steps, guests can take in an incredible view, including plenty of leaves. The steps were re-built in 2016 and are now 20 feet wider than before.
If you're looking for an excuse to head out to the park, the Rocky River Nature Center is hosting its Hands on Heritage day on October 6. Guests can enjoy a day of family fun at the center and at surrounding trails. Activites include, "butter churn, fresh-pressed apple cider and candle making. Heritage craftspeople will be on hand demonstrating skills such as blacksmithing, lace-making, pioneer cooking and more," the Metroparks said.
