Free Yoga In Lakewood For Summer Solstice

LAKEWOOD, OH — Free yoga will be held at 7 p.m. on the Solstice Steps in Lakewood on Sunday.

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is celebrating the longest day of the year by putting the free yoga session together. The class will be taught by certified yoga instructors and is free and open to all. There's no registration, no sign-ups and no payments necessary. Just show up and enjoy the class.

Participants should bring a yoga mat or a good towel, according to Virgil Wahome, associate executive director of the YMCA Greater Cleveland Lakewood Branch.

There's also no barrier for beginners. The class is perfect for yoga practitioners of any skill level, even those trying it for the first time.

"Go at your own pace. Do what you can. It's a way of getting people together to enjoy time, tranquility and relaxation. No one should ever be intimidated by this event," Wahome said.

The time of the event could change in coordination with the sunset. Attendees should see a sign directing them to the yoga class.
