Kareem Hunt Was Speeding, Had Weed In His Car: Police Say

ROCKY RIVER, OH — Police stopped Kareem Hunt in Rocky River on Tuesday. The Cleveland Browns running back was pulled over on I-90 for speeding, according to police reports, and officers then smelled marijuana in his car.

Officers found marijuana in a backpack in the backseat of the car, according to Fox 8. Hunt was cited for speeding and then allowed to leave. He was not cited for any drug offenses.

The Cleveland Browns told ESPN they were aware of the incident were investigating what happened.

Hunt came to the Browns after he was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs following the release of a video that showed Hunt attempting to attack a woman at The 9 Hotel in downtown Cleveland. Hunt was suspended for the first eight games of this season.

The running back finished this past season with 43 rushes for 179 yards and two touchdowns, according to Pro Football Reference.
