Lakewood Arts Festival Returns August 3

LAKEWOOD, OH — The 42nd Lakewood Arts Festival will be held August 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year's event will feature nearly 180 artists from across the U.S. and live music throughout the day.

The Arts Festival will be on Detroit Avenue, between Arthur and Belle avenues. This year's event will be a juried exhibition in a variety of categories and art forms. Along with the artists, there will be 30 booths operated non-profit groups and booths offering food, beverages, products and activities for children.

Throughout the festival, live music will be played at City Center Park, at Cook and Detroit avenues. There will also be music in front of Lakewood Public Library.

Before, during and after the festival, part of Detroit Avenue in downtown Lakewood will be closed. Detroit will be closed between Arthur and Belle avenues to traffic from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The festival will place rain or shine and there is no admission fee.
