Lakewood Community Festival Set For September: Vendor Spots Open
The popular festival will make its return in 2021 and spaces are now available for vendors.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The 33rd Lakewood Community Festival will be held this September and applications for vendors are now open.
The festival traditionally marks the end of summer in Lakewood. This year's event will be held Sept. 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Madison Park. The Community Festival celebrate families, cultural heritage and Lakewood as a whole. There will be food and activities suitable for residents of all ages.
The festival will be held rain or shine, the city said.

The festival, sponsored by the Lakewood Community Festival, Inc. and the city, will benefit various local organizations.
Vendors can now apply for a space at the festival online. Applications are available through the city's website, or interested vendors can have an application mailed to their business by calling 216-529-6650

The application deadline is Aug. 13, 2021.
As more Ohioans continue to be vaccinated, Lakewood officials decided to bring back many of the summer events that were canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19. Here are some of the other returning festivals:
- July 4th — The city will hold its annual fireworks display at Lakewood Park.
- Friday Night Flicks — Five movies will be shown this summer, four at Lakewood Park and one at Madison Park. Information on dates and which movies will be screened will be released at a later date.
- Concerts in the Park — City officials are hoping to host a "modified concert series" this summer.
- Cleveland Shakespeare Festival — A performance of "Romeo and Juliet" will be held in Lakewood Park on Aug. 6 at 7 p.m.
- Lakewood Arts Festival — The festival will be held this summer. Festivities are scheduled for Aug. 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, click here.
- Block parties — Neighborhood block parties may be held this summer. To get more information about holding a block party on your street, click here.
- Pavilions at Lakewood Park — The Kiwanis Pavilion and Gazebo at Lakewood Park can be reserved starting June 10. The Woman's Club Pavilion will remain closed due to an HVAC issue. When the HVAC issue is repaired, the pavilion will be open for rental.
