Lakewood has a State Champion !

I'll never forget when Coach Mike Dow told me that Lakewood HS got a new transfer student who was a remarkable athlete and in addition a wonderful young person. Sometimes in life, we get lucky. That 1st outdoor track season I covered their meets and watched his progress in both the hurdles and high jump. I heard others tell me how he practiced his craft even before and after practice was officially over. I witnessed his leadership with his fellow team members and watched how they admired him and the camaraderie they shared.

Now he's the Ohio State Champ in the 60M hurdles. This is one feel good story if there ever was one!
