Lakewood Meet The Trucks Scheduled For June 1

LAKEWOOD, OH — The popular Meet the Trucks event will return to Lakewood Park on June 1. The family-friendly event lets attendees see, touch and explore the city and county's fleet of trucks and vehicles.

The event will be held in Lakewood Park on June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year's vehicles include an aerial truck, dump truck, refuse truck, fire truck, police car, police bike, SWAT vehicle, RTA vehicle and more.

Put together by the city of Lakewood and the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA, the event will also feature a DJ, bounce houses, Jungle Bob, balloon twisters, appearances by a princess and two superheroes, more than $1,000 in raffle items and other exhibitions. Several community groups will be in attendance, offering children's activities and sharing information on their operations.

Food will be offered by Angelo's Pizza, the Touch Supper Club food truck and the Sweet Spot food truck. The Lakewood Early Childhood PTA will also sell hot dogs, drinks, popcorn and snow cones.

This is the 14th annual Meet the Trucks event in Lakewood.
