Lakewood Pancake Breakfast Benefits Dog Adoption Center

The 10th Annual Pancake Barkfeast with Celebrity Chef Omelettes will be held at Lakewood Congregational Church.

From Secondhand Mutts: The 10th Annual Pancake Barkfeast fundraiser to support Secondhand Mus is right around the corner! On Saturday, February 2nd from 9am – noon join hundreds of guests and enjoy a traditional pancake breakfast served with all the fixin’s. Our Pancake Barkfeast fundraiser is vegan and vegetarian friendly. We offer a vegan friendly scramble, vegan pancakes, vegetarian sausage, seasoned potatoes and our vegetarian friends can indulge in our buttermilk pancakes as well. Our new oatmeal and grits bar (with plenty of toppings to choose from!) is both vegetarian and vegan friendly.

The Pancake Barkfeast is a fun event initially started to help fund the large cost of treating heartworm positive dogs. Over the years the event has grown and developed to support our Extra Mile Program that helps us save/treat dogs in need even if they have medical conditions needing extended care or treatment. Five years ago we started to host local Celebrity Chefs from many great restaurants and organizations around Northeast Ohio. Our guest chefs create an omelette and donate their time and talents making the omelettes fresh for our guests (who choose one omelette to try) live during the event.

This creates excitement around the unique omelette creations and a cool, interactive element for the event.
