Lakewood Railroad Crossings Closing For Up To 2 Weeks

City officials said signage went up on Detroit Avenue, Clifton Boulevard and other crossings on Monday.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Several railroad crossings between Cleveland and Bay Village will be closed for improvements. Lakewood's Detroit Avenue and Clifton Boulevard crossings, along with other crossings, will be impacted by the closures.

All of the crossings will be closed for up to two weeks for the upgrades, the city said. All of the construction is part of a large tie replacement project.

The closures started on Monday and will continue throughout the month. The city said it is working with a traffic maintenance company to update residents on closures and re-openings.
