Lakewood Set to Unveil Kids Cove Playground Redesign

The city of Lakewood is going to unveil plans for its redesign of the Kids Cove playground at Lakewood Park on March 16, according to the city's website.

With a target set to begin construction in fall 2016, the city will release the plans for the new playground at a meeting open to the public. The redesign was aided by the input of residents.

“We truly want this project to reflect what our community wants as a premier playground,” said city planner Jason Russell. “Our diverse pool of thoughtful, intelligent and creative residents helped to influence how current and future Lakewood children will enjoy Kids Cove.”

The city initially called for feedback at a town meeting in November, where residents were asked to fill out a survey.
